Flower Mound, TX (July 26, 2009) – Two sales associates from the Flower Mound office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage – Dallas/Fort Worth (CBDFW) recently completed requirements to earn the Affordable Housing Certification from the Texas Association of Realtors (TAR).
Tess Turner and Becky Harkrider completed the 12-hour mandatory continuing education class offered by TAR at a recent training road show sponsored by the Greater Fort Worth Association of Realtors (GFWAR).
“This is an ideal bank of information for a serious real estate professional during the current economic climate,” says branch manager Melody Kruse. “The real estate industry has changed dramatically. More than ever, it is imperative for sales and listing specialists to have-up-to-date information on market trends and regulations in order to offer accurate guidance to buyers and sellers.”
“A major part of the program focused on foreclosures and short sales,” says Ms. Harkrider. “Our North Texas market — usually a very sturdy and resilient real estate climate — is experiencing an unprecedented number of foreclosures and an increasing number of short sales.”
Financial and mortgage specialists addressed the class with information to help prepare attendees for the changing rules of the industry. “We learned much more than I expected and made terrific connections that will serve us well in the future,” says Ms. Turner.
