8/30/2009

Dallas, TX (August 30, 2009) Sales associates and staff of the Richardson office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage – Dallas/Fort Worth (CBDFW) are getting ready to participate in the local observance of the 26th Annual National Night Out (NNO), a unique crime/drug prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW).

Participating in their 8th year are Susan Long, Sales Associate and Pam Nelms, Branch Manager of the Richardson office, the Southeast Quadrant Coordinator and one of several block captains, respectively. The theme for this year’s event is Give Neighborhood Crime and Drugs a Going-Away Party.

According to Ms. Long, “Last year’s National Night Out was a great success. The City of Richardson and the Richardson Police Department ranked second in the nation among cities our size. This accomplishment demonstrates the successful relationship between the police department and our community in raising crime and drug prevention awareness, generating support and participation in anti-crime programs and strengthening neighborhood spirit.”

Scheduled for October 6, the NNO involves citizens, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials from more than 15,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases worldwide. More than 37 million people participated in last year’s event.

“Coldwell Banker has a long-standing reputation as a community leader helping to maintain healthy environments for our citizens,” says Ms. Long.  “The 19 offices of CBDFW in Dallas/Fort Worth have an amazing list of local and national charities in which they are strong supporters — ranging from the Salvation Army and Habitat for Humanity to the Genesis Women’s Shelter. “

She adds, “Supporting National Night Out against crime is a natural partnership for a company that helps place buyers in their dream homes. We cordially invite all interested residents and their communities to be a part of our Night Out 2009 team.”
